How to become DIG officer after 12th
The Indian Police Service (IPS) is one of the most prestigious and coveted civil services in India. It is considered as the backbone of the law enforcement system in India. A DIG or Deputy Inspector General is a high-ranking officer in the Indian police force, responsible for maintaining law and order in a particular region. Step 1: Complete 12th grade

Step 4: Join the Police Force as an IPS officer
Once you clear the Civil Services Examination and get selected for the IPS, you need to join the police force as an IPS officer. You will undergo training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad for a period of one year. The training will prepare you for the challenges and responsibilities of the job.
Step 5: Work as an IPS officer
After completing the training, you will be posted as an IPS officer in a particular region. You need to work hard and gain experience in the field to get promoted to higher ranks like DIG.
